Anjou

Flavor Profile Abundant juice and sweet flavor when ripe. Anjou pears do not change color as they ripen.

Anjou pear, also known as Green Anjou or D ‘Anjou, is one of the most common and recognizable pears. It is excellent eaten fresh, but also versatile for baking, roasting, and slicing fresh into salads. Anjou pear partners well with a range of flavors, from white wines to rich Stout beers. Serve Anjou pears on a cheese platter along with goat cheese, brie, and parmesan cheese crisps.
