Baguette with Autumn Glory Apple Chutney

Autumn Glory® is reminiscent of fall with notes of caramel and cinnamon. This chutney embodies those flavors and creates a fall-like flavor with seasonal spices, fresh and dried fruit, and nuts. The chutney is easy to make ahead of time and simply assemble before a holiday party.

Ingredients:

  • 6 medium Autumn Glory apples, cored & diced
  • 2 cups raisins and/or dried cranberries
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • ½ cup shallots, minced
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 large orange- juiced & zested
  • 2 large lemons- juiced & zested
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Baguette rounds, toasted or fresh

Directions:

To make chutney: Combine all ingredients in a large non-reactive bowl (such as glass, ceramic, or stainless steel). Taste and adjust seasonings or sweeteners, if needed, to personal taste. Refrigerate until ready to serve, up to 1 week.

To assemble: Spread cream cheese on each baguette piece. Top with a spoonful of chutney.
