Cherry Smoothie Bowl

Powering up your daily routine just got sweeter! Frozen bananas mix with Northwest cherries to create a flavorful smoothie bowl to supercharge your day! Cherries are an excellent source of potassium, a nutrient often lost in sweat during a work-out. One cup of cherries contains 260 mg of potassium! Cherries provide a natural source of replenishment after an active day! Almond butter adds protein to help this meal fuel your active lifestyle.

Smoothie bowls are a beautiful meal anytime of the day, and they are fun to decorate! Create a topping bar with your kids to let them personalize their meal. We went for the patriotic red, white and blue with delicious topping such as coconut chips, almonds, blueberries, and of course, Northwest cherries!

Yield: 2 smoothies

Smoothie Ingredients:
2 frozen bananas, sliced
2 cups Northwest cherries, measured after pitting
1 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon honey, optional
4 tablespoons almond butter

Toppings:
Pitted cherries
Coconut flakes
Slivered almonds
Chia seeds
Blueberries
Honey

Directions:

Place smoothie ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into bowl. Top your bowl with all of the delicious toppings, and have fun with your design!
